More and more teens are presenting as overweight and obese. It is becoming an epidemic that is putting a strain on the medical resources and the life expectancy of many young people. Does that mean no more pizza ever? Well no, it just means that pizza, and other considered junk foods, should be eaten sparingly and not eaten as the norm.

That means getting the heart and lungs pumping and working at least three or four times per week for at least twenty minutes at a time. Watch the amount you eat
Whether you are eating healthy foods you will still gain weight if you failed to eat in moderation. The higher you consume the bigger you will get in time. Take five small frequent feeding a day with foods packed with nutrients.
Slash your calorie consumption
Do this in a mild progressive manner. The tendency is if you cut your calorie consumption drastically the normal internal activities of your body will be affected which could result to totally losing appetite and fatigue. In the first week of diet, cut at least 10 percent of your usual calorie consumption. Increase the cutting progressively each week until you get to your desired weight.
Exercise regularly
Diet alone cannot improve your general health, what it can do is just to lose your weight. With exercise, you are burning the excess calories while toning up your muscles and boosting your immune system and blood circulation.
Water therapy
As you diet and exercise you are also losing water. Water replenishes the lost water; help fasten digestion and washes out toxins or free radicals. Take 8 glasses of water a day.

I was so motivated to write this article after viewing yet another senseless ad about that monster we call weight loss and inform as many people as possible of the safe, natural effective process of weight loss with hypnosis. It will help you to know I have worked with thousands of people from all walks of life to assist them to their weight loss goal using hypnosis. This was after America watched me help a pastry chef lose 40 pounds with no struggle whatsoever during the Dateline NBC show The Ultimate Diet Challenge.

There is one problem with that word diet when it comes to using hypnosis, and that is you don’t diet at all. The big secret or key to it all is to be able to change your way of thinking, feeling and behaving about food and create a healthy lifestyle that will allow your body to shed fat (what we really mean when we say lose weight) and look and feel better as well as be healthier and happier and live not only longer but have better quality of life during those living years.

Just imagine what it would be like if you just didn’t want to eat junk food and fat causing food. Imagine just seeming to want to stop eating once your natural signal for hunger was satisfied. Wouldn’t that be better than the struggle and constant nagging thought about your weight? It sure is and you too can make it happen when achieving weight loss with hypnosisThis might be the time I remove a few myths for you regarding hypnosis.

1) Guided imagery, visualization and any other form of positive thought is actually hypnosis. 2) There are only 4 brain wave levels – thinking, daydreaming, dreaming and unconsciousness. The state of daydreaming and dreaming are where we are when we are in what is referred to as the hypnotic state. 3) The word hypnosis was first coined in a book in 1843 by Dr. James Braid because people who were in the hypnotic state appeared to be sleeping and the Greek God of sleep is Hypnos.

You see, there is nothing strange or weird about hypnosis. It’s just a word for what we do all day. Any time you are spaced out or zoned out or get startled, you were in a light trance. And in that state you are more open to suggestion. Maybe you now understand why advertising works.

But back to weight loss with hypnosis; just like an athlete using visualization to improve their game we can all use the same process to achieve any goal. However, when using your imagination and acting as if you already have achieved the goal, using all your senses and making the created scene as real as possible, that may not be enough. What I have found in the 11 years of practice with people from all around the world is that the subconscious mind, which controls our behaviors (why will power / conscious force doesn’t work) has accepted this behavior associated to unhealthy eating as serving some purpose… an emotional purpose.

At the subconscious level we are directed away from pain and toward pleasure. And though the unhealthy choices and amounts people eat cause other problems such as excess, uncomfortable weight gain, blood, heart and joint problems as well as emotional issues like decreasing self esteem and more, the bad eating patterns are serving some other purpose. I have found it can be because there was a painful event like having your heart broken so getting fat will keep people away. Or life isn’t being lived in a satisfying way and there is lack of attention, companionship… pleasure. Many times it begins because of boredom and becomes a bad habit.

Either way, please know it is not necessary to continue with unhealthy habits, no need to diet and deprive yourself and be miserable and there is no need to struggle with will power to reach your goal of being healthy and fit. Instead of working against your subconscious, work with it and achieve weight loss with hypnosis… the natural, safe and effective approach. Like all my clients have said, “I wish I did this first.”

Well, you should now know exactly why you want to lose weight. Without a clear and convincing reason, you’re never going to keep the motivation going when you start feeling hungry. It’s a sad fact of life that there’s temptation wherever you look. There are all kinds of habit associations. It can be a place, or a time of day, or a group of people you’re with. All these may be associated with particular types of food. Unless you are mentally prepared, it’s going to be too easy to give into that craving and eat like you did in the “bad old days”. This may be a recipe for some changes to your life. Perhaps you need to change the route you drive so you no longer pass that cupcake shop. Stop going to that particular fast food outlet for lunch. Get all those friends and relatives on your side. They must be prepared to tell you off if they see you about to give into temptation. With their help and support, you can make all this work. But if they are just part of the general pattern of temptation your diet is not going to last ten minutes. They will mock you into giving it up. Friends and family are like that, i.e. part of the problem and not part of the solution.

So what’s the first step? You have to be realistic. There’s no magic involved. You will not lose five inches from your waist by next Tuesday. You will not lose 20 pounds by the end of the month. Not even giving up food altogether will produce these results unless you want to wreck your health and risk death. When setting a target for yourself, make it achievable. This means hoping to lose 1 or 2 pounds a week. That’s between 4 and 8 pounds a month. It might sound slow but, if you could keep it up, that between 24 and 48 pounds at the end of six months. For most people, that’s about 10% of their current body weight. Keeping this real, that’s actually quite a tough target. The majority of people find they lose weight for the first three months and then hit a barrier. So, when it comes to writing in your diary, aim for 4 pounds a month for the first three months and then see how you feel. The psychology is important. If you feel you are not making the expected progress, it’s easy to lose motivation. After three months, aim not to put the weight back on and hope for some further losses. A target of 5% of body weight lost is usually achievable. That will be a satisfying result.

In pursuing this target, think about how you’re going to use Meridia. This is an excellent weight loss drug but it’s more a support for your motivation.
